The Sony BRAVIA KDL-52NX800 is a 52in Full HD LCD TV with 200Hz image smoothing mode, Internet connectivity via Wi-Fi and a striking design. Motion Control is handled by Sony’s Motionflow 200Hz system. While it does not have the incremental adjustment of the other systems we’ve used – you can not individually set judder and motion compensation, for example – the Standard and Smooth settings both make a good job in reining fibrillation and presented quickly to- image reproduction without tearing or obvious interpolation.
Sony BRAVIA KDL-52NX800 have the most Internet connectivity we have seen on TV before. It does not have the Skype calling features of the new TV from Samsung, but it offers BRAVIA Internet Video. We thought the Internet video functionality was very good – with access to iView, Yahoo 7 Video-on-demand and YouTube (among other services) in which the TV directly for viewing on demand, rather than relying on a media-neutral Center PC or Internet-connected Blu-ray Disc player.
